The Palestinians present the false picture to the world that they are the victims.
The Palestinians have received tens of billions of dollars from the international community and from Israel which they could have used to build a good life for themselves in cooperation with Israel and what Israel has to offer.
This is one of the messages of Israel‘s Declaration of Independence-good neighborly relations.
Notice the call for peace in the midst of the Arab onslaught going on at the time - in 1948.
WE APPEAL - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.
Instead, the day after Israel’s declaration of independence, seven Arab armies invaded Israel with the intent of destroying the newborn nation.
Since then there have been nonstop attempts to destroy Israel.
Israel was built on the ashes of the holocaust and through endless wars, has grown to become militarily strong and influential contributing to the world and to humanity in every field.
We must defend ourselves.
We must make sure that this will never happen again.
We must eliminate terrorism on our borders.
