I first heard this Greek worship song in 1998 in Cyprus a few months after I met the Lord Jesus. The guy who wrote it was a bouzouki player, like myself, who came to the Lord in the 1970’s and the Lord totally changed the course of His life, literally translating him from a life in darkness and sin to a life of light and holiness.
I’ve been a performing musician since I was eleven years old so I related to his testimony. I met the Lord in New York in April 1998 and subsequently fell in love with Israel. I have been living in Israel since 2002.
For the last nine years I have been teaching, producing music and performing around the country with my band Bouzouki Groove.
This is my first worship song, produced in my home studio. The words are in Greek but there are Hebrew and English translations.

שמעתי את שיר ההלל הזה בשנת 1998 בקפריסין, מספר חודשים אחרי שהגעתי לאמונה בישוע. האיש שכתב והלחין את השיר היה נגן בוזוקי, כמוני, שבא לאמונה והשתנו לו החיים. הוא מתאר איך הוא מרגיש שעבר מהחושך לאור.
אני מנגן ומופיע מגיל 11 לכן הזדהיתי עם העדות שלו. הגעתי לאמונה בישוע באפריל 1998 כשגרתי בניו יורק. התאהבתי בישוע, בכתובים ובעם וארץ ישראל. אני גר בישראל מאז שנת 2002.
בתשע השנים האחרונות אני מלמד ומפיק מוזיק יוונית ומופיע ברחבי הארץ עם ההרכב שלי בוזוקי גרוב.
זה שיר ההלל הראשון שלי. הפקתי אותו באולפן הביתי שלי. מילות השיר הן ביוונית ויש תרגום בעברית ולאנגלית.
