Israel The Eternal People

The October 7th attack and the war that followed has strengthened the people of Israel and drawn them together to do good.

What is happening is amazing. It is like nothing you can imagine.

Morale is sky high and unity in a common purpose has inspired devotion to one another that has motivated the nation in a way seldom experienced.

People of all ages and from every walk of life are showing love and compassion by volunteering to support and strengthen every area of the war effort.

Restaurants are donating food and supplies.

Families have turned their homes into food preparation operations for soldiers and displaced families.

Famous singers, bands, musicians, stand up comedians and artists are volunteering to perform at army bases and hotels where displaced families are staying.

Citizens are producing videos explaining our side of the conflict to the world.

Weddings are being held at army bases on tanks and at military installations.

And all this in the midst of mourning the dead that were massacred on October 7th, funerals of fallen soldiers, the outcry and despair of the families whose loved ones were kidnapped to Gaza and the pain and shock of over 100 thousand evacuees who have been forced out of their homes.

The people of Israel will not be broken.

The people of Israel will overcome.

The people of Israel will be victorious.

The people of Israel are used to persecution and tragedy.

The Jewish people rose from the ashes of the holocaust to build this modern miracle of a country through non stop wars and terrorist attacks.

Israel is truly the eternal people.

Empires and peoples have come and gone, but the people of Israel live forever.

We read in the prophet Jeremiah, For as long as the sun and the moon and the stars are in the heavens the people of Israel will continue to be a nation before God.

So to the enemies of Israel I say, maybe you should instead turn your weapons on the sun and the moon and the stars for the people of Israel cannot be defeated or destroyed.

The people of Israel live.

Am Israel Chai.

Ve Yachad Nenatswach.

The people of Israel live.

And together we will be victorious.

Amen and Shabbat Shalom.
