Yom Truah - The Day of Blowing Trumpets

Today, September 25th is the eve of the first day of the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar, the month of Tishrei, known in the Bible as The Feast of Trumpets or Yom Truah.

Yom יוֹם means day in Hebrew and Truah תְּרוּעָה means "The joyful blowing of a shofar (Ram's horn) - trumpet."

Leviticus 23:23-24 (KJV) 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. (See also Numbers 29:1-6)
